About the Founder

Miguel Oliveira
Miguel founded BISA Ventures to build businesses that would make our grandmothers proud.
The name comes from his grandmother, whom the younger members of the family called “Bisa,” short for great-grandmother. It reflects the firm's values: family, legacy, pragmatism, and a long-term perspective.
Miguel began his career at TAP Air Portugal before moving into video games. He built a commerce platform acquired by SCi/Eidos, later part of Square Enix. He then held leadership roles at WildTangent and gamigo. At WildTangent, he worked on a gaming platform distributed through major PC manufacturers and reaching hundreds of millions of computers worldwide.
Over the past two decades, Miguel has led teams across growth, sales, business development, marketing, and corporate strategy. He has also led acquisitions representing approximately $400 million in transaction value.
His latest venture is Druids Inc., an AI software company for game developers. As co-founder and CEO, he led the company through product development, fundraising, and market launch. Druids raised capital from Forum Ventures and received a MegaGrant from Epic Games.
Miguel holds a bachelor's degree in marketing, an MBA, and a master's degree in finance.
